From start to finish our tour was outstanding. We were conveniently picked up at our hotel on time by a most welcoming guide. The tour was informative in both local and historical knowledge. Our time was well planned and at no time did we fill rushed. Our lunch at a local restaurant was beyond our expectations. This tour was well worth the cost. We definitively would recommend this tour to others that want to add knowledge, beauty and total satisfaction to their trip.

Easy, fun way see and learn about the culture and landscape.

Our family of five, our English speaking guide ( Tanya), and a Portuguese speaking tourist and guide, made the trip together in a van. We learned about the culture and traditions of Terceira and viewed its spectacular and varied landscapes. We paid extra for entrance into the volcano. For one of my daughters, this was the highlight of our ten day vacation. The lunch was delicious. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and energetic. It was nice to have the two other people with our family and guide, as we were able to discuss things with them also. Thankfully, they spoke some English.

Great overall package - clear recommendation

Since we only had one day to explore as much of the island of Terceira as possible, we decided on this tour. Our expectations were fully met, we really saw many beautiful corners of the island. In the first half of the day, our guide Tanja showed us mainly history about Terceira. Very exciting. After a fantastic meal (we would never have found the restaurant with a great view ourselves) we went to the natural sites of the island. There was still a lot to learn about plant species, the climate and the volcanic formation of the island. At some of the viewpoints, we would have preferred 5 minutes more to enjoy, the view was really fantastic. Tanja's German was perfect, so we also pestered her with many other questions about Portugal and the Azores. Last but not least, she helped us organize an airport transfer early the next morning. Super total package!
