What to Expect
Your guide, an expert in history and nature of the Azores, will meet you at your accommodation at 9:00 am. In the morning, head straight to Sete Cidades, enjoying amazing views of the island along the mountain road. Get to the famous King's view, the main postcard view of the Azores and be surprised by the beauty of smaller little-known lakes that exist in the area.
After visiting the small town by the lake, proceed to the west coast of the island and see the beautiful rocks of Mosteiros. In the afternoon, start with Fogo Lake, the highest and most untouched of the large lakes of the Azores, surrounded by endemic vegetation. Then discover Caldeira Velha, a natural monument of lush vegetation and thermal activity. Continue to Ribeira Grande, the largest town in the north coast and see the most beautiful cliffs in São Miguel.
