As two mostly unexperienced with kayaking it was a great tour. The guides were friendly and helpful! It was a great experience to go to the little island and while snorkling we saw many fishes.
3. São Miguel Island: Sete Cidades Kayak Rental
Venture onto the Lake of Sete Cidades, one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Savor breathtaking natural scenery aboard your canoe on a lake embedded in the crater of an amazing volcano. According to an ancient legend, this stunning lake was the result of a failed love story between a shepherd and a princess who were not meant to be together. The last time they met, the princess, who had blue eyes, cried so much that the Blue Lake was formed, while the shepherd's tears gave birth to the Green Lake. Admire the mystical colors of the 2 lakes located on the western part of São Miguel Island, and paddle your canoe out on the Blue Lake. Have fun canoeing for 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours, depending on the option selected.
Really wonderful kayaking in an incredible setting. Highly professional operation and extremely accommodating when we arrived late due to some poor navigation!
4. From Ponta Delgada: Sete Cidades Kayak & Bike Adventure
Get picked up from your hotel in Ponta Delgada or make your own way to Lagoa das Sete Cidades, one of the most beautiful lakes on the island. For those who choose pickup, stop by the Vista do Rei viewpoint to enjoy the panoramic views. Start your cycling and kayaking trip at the activity center on the lakeshore. Paddle across the crystal clear lake on a kayak and admire the beautiful surroundings from the water. Afterwards, pedal through this beautiful region on a bike. Discover the area on a self-guided tour, or select the guided tour option to explore with an expert guide. This fun and active trip is perfect for adventure lovers.
5. From Ponta Delgada: Sete Cidades Walk, Tasting and Kayaking
Be picked up in your accommodation in Ponta Delgada and head towards Sete Cidades. Once in Sete Cidades, start your adventure with a walking tour from Miradouro da Vista do Rei to Sete Cidades Village. As you follow the walking trail, you’ll see views of the Green and Blue Lakes, Sete Cidades Village, Caldeira Seca, and Caldeira do Alferes. Stop at the Lomba do Vasco viewing point and see views of the northwest coast of São Miguel island. The walking tour will conclude at the village of Sete Cidades, where you can taste local products in a typical wood oven house. After your visit, you’ll head to the Blue and Green Lakes of Sete Cidades, where you’ll enjoy kayaking around the lakes. After kayaking, you’ll be driven back to Ponta Delgada, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.

What people are saying about Azores
Without doubt the best way to see the coast and discover the island by going around in a kayak. It's nice and easy. Short stop in the center of the island where there is little to see or do. The city does not properly maintain the wastewater network so that the results of bacteriological water analysts are not compliant, which results in a ban on swimming and therefore snorkeling. The guide had warned us. I recommend this kayak trip. The guides are friendly and very professional.
Paulo is a very nice man and very clear and helpful as a guide for the kayak. Very beautiful island where you can snorkel with amazing fish.
Paulo is such a great great tour guide. We really enjoyed the tour and would absolutely recommend everybody to be on this unique experience.
