We really enjoyed the trip. The captain and owner, who spoke English and German, told us a lot about the history of Thailand as we cruised along the riverbank. There is a lot to discover there, including illegal houses built on the river, temples of all sizes and designs, and sometimes the wealth of some Thai people. In between, there is good Thai food, even without spice. The fruit on offer is also particularly delicious. If you don't feel like walking any more after a sightseeing tour of the ruins of Ayutthaya, this is a great way to get to know Thailand in a different way, in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Arriving in Bangkok after dark and admiring the skyline is very impressive. But the tour is certainly also worth doing in the opposite direction, from Bangkok to Ayutthaya. All in all, an entertaining trip on the Chao Phraya.

This experience is one for the books! My family and I were greeted and accompanied by Jaoh. She had briefed us first on what to expect along the canal. She’s very knowledgeable and speaks good English! The boat ride along the canal was truly memorable. It’s nice to see the floating community and the friendly smiles and waves of the locals. We also stopped by the Artist House to have some snacks. And we also fed the fish for some good luck and prosperity. Our boatman, Mr Chert, was also friendly! Overall, excellent experience! 🥳✨

Roger was a great host for a beautiful and relaxing five hour boat trip from Ayutthaya to Bangkok. I loved seeing all the houses on stilts, the beautiful riverside wats, storks and herons, all the other boats and barges, and the lush vegetation. All this with some beers, food, and great conversation on a very comfortable boat.
