Full description
A Jeep safari to the green landscape of the Troodos Mountains is a must during your holiday in Cyprus. Travel deep inside the island’s interior to see and experience villages and forested landscapes not often visited by average tourists. Your adventurous itinerary uses a combination of small asphalt roads and well-maintained dirt tracks to bring nature and culture together.  See and experience the best and most authentic side of Cyprus, enjoy meeting the locals and gaze upon breathtaking views from the mountain summits. Take short walks through traditional villages with their narrow streets and stone architecture, and feast upon scrumptious local delicacies. You will also have the chance to light a candle in a medieval stone-built church with fresco wall paintings. Then, visit one of the many fantastic natural waterfalls that have ice-cold water cascading down their rocky cliffs. Take in this paradise-like spot with its cool spring waters and lush vegetation surroundings. Lunch is optional and can be enjoyed in a traditional family-run restaurant.

in one word - AMAZING. in many words - the best off the beaten tour I've been on so far. you will not be able to do anything similar on your own - not without a guide like Bambos :) we were so lucky to have Christine on board as well and both of them clearly love what they do and their country as well. we found the information provided super interesting but also with a dose of sarcasm which only made the whole experience better. as bambos put it: after this tour you will forget about your fears with heights, back problems etc :)

The safari was very interesting. We could see places other tours don't offer, especiaslly the ancient churches with fantastic icons and frescoes. The tour also had several disadvantages. 2)We are with my husband senior people and sitting in the back in the jeep is for us unthinkable. Nevertheless, these were the last places available when the jeep came to pick us up, and the guide did not care to make changes in the seating. We had to ask ourselves the younger people sitting in front to exchange their seats with us. Besides, for the prize the customers pay, more comfort would be appropriate and not sitting in a jeep packed with eight passengers, plus driver, plus the guide. 2) Although the company had offered on the wep page free mineral water, no water was available during the trip. 3) The driver was a very nice and helpful person, however, he was driving on the bumpy mountain "roads" wildly and dangerously without considering that the passengers can get hurt.

We saw a lot of the island. We tasted cyprus coffee, stopped on several places for picture. We also ate lunch at the two flowers with a nice view and went to a winery. The only drawback was the car. When you sit in the back your neck and back really starts to hurt. Also you can’t hear the driver and you can’t see anything through the windows! So for in the future I would but another safaricar where you can look outside in the back and sit more comfortabaly. Cause now we didn’t get much of the trip for 8 hours. Would recommend the trip tho.
