Very interesting to see a working lavender farm on action. We covered the countryside without travelling too long in the van at any time, and we saw lavender fields even it’s late on the flower season. Our guide gave some history and background information on lavender in Provence. It met my expectations and I was not disappointed!

Enjoy this half-day excursion dedicated to the blue gold of Provence, lavender. Drive north of Avignon in the direction of the highest mountain in Provence, Le Mont Ventoux! Then head in the direction of the village of Sault, the capital of lavender.

Admire the breathtaking beauty of the lavender fields in bloom. Enjoy some free time in Sault to explore the area, and stop at local lavender shops. Don’t miss the chance to sample regional specialties, such as nougat infused with lavender, honey, and almonds

Visit a local lavender producer during the distillation season to learn about the process and discover how to use lavender essential oil. During your tour, take advantage of several picturesque photo stops around Sault and in picturesque lavender fields.
