Full description
The Luberon is a small and perfectly preserved paradise in the heart of Provence. It is home to everything that one likes about Provence: dozens of small villages perched on hilltop. Roussillon, built on top of an ochre cliff (ochre is a natural pigment which can be found in the soil and which is used for the painting and decoration of the houses): stroll in the narrow streets of this colorfull village. (Market on Thursday) A 15min drive wiil bring you to Gordes (one of the most beautiful villages in France). A panoramic photo stop. Drive to Fontaine de Vaucluse : walk up to the cave from which the River Sorgues emerges.

A most wonderful morning spent visiting the Luberon highlights. We were expertly guided by Caroline, a very warm, friendly and professional guide. She shared lots of information about the locality and French culture. She was very attentive to all guests and included everyone in conversations as we drove to the villages. She gave us clear tips for visiting the villages and instructions to rendezvous pick ups. A very pleasurable experience and worth the cost. I recommend!

We decided on the spur-of-the-moment to take a half-day trip around Avignon to see the landscape and smaller villages. Small group (6 total), which make it easy to get to know everyone. Julian, our guide, was great at explaining the different areas we went through and gave us time at each stop to explore.
