Ausangate

Start with pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM. Travel for approximately 1.5 hours to Qollasuyo. Pass through the district of Cusipata with a stop for a 30-minute breakfast. From there, continue onwards with the journey for 1 hour until reaching Fulawasipata. Here, take a pause for a quick brief on how the journey will be carried out. Begin the walk at the foot of the Ausangate mountain range. This will be followed by an ascent of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to the highest point of the Rainbow Mountain. During this journey, you will have the opportunity to see the different types of South American camelids, a relative of the camel. Upon reaching the red hill, take in the beautiful scenery. Finally, continue the journey with a 1-hour descent into the flat terrain and back to the starting point of the hike. Return to Cusipata to enjoy a buffet lunch.  Following lunch, return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 4:30 PM at Plaza Regocijo/Kusipata, centrally located and close to all hotels.

After taking in the views, begin your 1-hour descent through flatter terrain, returning to the trailhead. From there, head back to Cusipata to indulge in a delicious buffet lunch. Finally, you'll return to Cusco, arriving at Plaza Regocijo/Kusipata around 4:30 PM, conveniently located near many hotels.

The Tour of 7 Lagoons of Ausangate Cusco, is a new natural attraction located to the south east of the city of Cusco, where you can appreciate and tour the lagoons at the foot of the majestic Ausangate mountain. We will also be able to appreciate beautiful landscapes, mountains, flora and fauna typical of this place.The names of the 7 lagoons of the Ausangate Cusco are: Upper Lake, Otorongo Male, Otorongo Female, Red Lake, Ccomer Lake, Blue Lake and Alqa Lake. Within the Tour of 7 lagoons of the Ausangate we have the option to visit the populated center of the Community of Pacchanta and its thermo-medicinal waters.Itinerary:We will begin with the pick up from the hotel in Cusco at 04:00 a.m., and then go to the town of Pacchanta where we will have a replenishing breakfast.From this town of Pachanta we will start the walk, for 2 hours of the journey we will arrive at a viewpoint from where you can appreciate the 7 Ausangate Lagoons.Later we will walk another 3 hours touring a large part of the 7 lagoons and culminating at the starting point in the town of Pacchanta (Place where we will have our lunch)Finally we will return to the city of Cusco.

The 7 Colors Mountain Tour is an impressive day hike in the Vilcanota Mountain Range, on a route we call “The 7 Colors Mountain” that is very close to the highest and most sacred mountain in southern Peru called the Ausangate (6,377mts). This life-bearing “Apu” is the Guardian of one of the most pristine ecosystems in the world. Thus, our walk will be accompanied by snow-capped peaks, glaciers, herds of llamas and alpacas. This trek offers a selection of wildlife and very impressive landscapes. It will probably be one of the best things you will see on your visit to Peru. Itinerary First we will start with the respective pick up from the hotel in Cusco between 4:00 - 05:00 Hrs.Then we will go to the south of Cusco, to the town of Cusipata where we will have our first stop for breakfast.Then we will continue along the road to the parking lot. from where the walk will start.Later we will have a walk of approximately 2 hours until we reach the Mountain of 7 Colors, upon arrival we will have enough time to take pictures and explore a large part of the place.Then we will return by the same route to the parking lot to return to Cusipata where we will have lunch and then to the city of Cusco (approximate arrival time 6:00 p.m.) On the return trip, transportation leaves you one block from the Plaza de Armas.

Begin the adventure between 4:00 am and 5:00 am when our transportation picks you up from your hotel, then travel for an hour and a half heading south east of Cusco until you reach the town of Cusipata. In Cusipata you will have time to have a substantial buffet breakfast and do your last shopping. Next, travel by bus for an hour and a half, along the route observe small local towns settled along the Willka River and also see llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat. Once we arrive at the parking lot, start the walk, during the walk you will begin to see the 3 rainbow mountains and also the red valley. Upon reaching the main viewpoint, observe the imposing snow-capped Ausangante with its more than 4 thousand meters high. From there go up towards the stone forest where you will have a panoramic view of the landscape. After finishing the walk, take the return bus that will bring you to the town of Checacupe where you will have time to take photos of three bridges: Inca Bridge, colonial bridge and contemporary bridge. Then continue the bus trip until you reach the restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious Andean buffet lunch and have time to rest. Finally we will begin the trip back to Cusco where our transportation will drop you off one block from the main square.

Embark on a full-day guided tour to Rainbow Mountain from Cusco. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch, and take in the breathtaking views of the ancient Ausangate and the Rainbow Mountain. Start your adventure early when your guide picks you up from your accommodation or meeting point from 3:30 AM to 4:00 AM approximetely. After a 2-hour drive, arrive at Cusipata, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and take a moment to stretch your legs and snap some photos. There’s a small shop where you can purchase snacks or water before embarking on your hike to Rainbow Mountain. Continue on to the starting point. Your guide will take care of all the arrangements before you begin your hike. The trek to the famous Rainbow Mountain covers 2.1 miles (3.5 kilometers). The trail starts with an uphill climb, followed by some flat sections and gentle rises leading you to Rainbow Mountain, which sits at an elevation of 17,125 feet (5,220 meters). Here, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the ancient Ausangate Valleys and may even spot wild llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas along the way. After taking in the stunning scenery, return the same way you came or as an optional return stop by the Red Valley. Then, board the bus for the ride back to the restaurant. Once you arrive back in Cusipata, enjoy lunch before taking transportation back to central Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off near the Plaza de Armas at 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

We will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco from 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Then we will travel by tourist transport for approximately 3 hours to the town of Pacchanta. In this place we will have breakfast and begin the walk, we will ascend little by little until we arrive at our first lagoon, and so on the subsequent ones. The walk lasts 5 hours round trip. During the journey we will visit the lagoons of different colors characterized by their blue, turquoise and green colors. Likewise, some of them are large and look like natural mirrors. The lagoons to visit are: Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pucacocha, Alqacocha, Q'omercocha, Orqo Otorongo and China Otorongo. Along the way, we will also spot Andean birds, alpacas, llamas, and vizcachas. After that, we will return to Pacchanta. Where we will enjoy a delicious lunch, then we will relax in the Hot Springs. After the hot springs we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving in Cusco at 7:30 p.m. to soon.

Get picked up by your professional guide from your Cusco accommodation from 4-4:30 am. Make the 3-hour drive to Pacchanta all bundled up with an extra warm sweater, jacket, hat, and gloves as morning temperatures in the area range from 5–9°C. Stop for breakfast and any last-minute things you forgot to buy in Cusco like water and snacks. From Pacchanta, take in your first views of the magnificent Apu Ausangate Mountains, rising 6,384 meters above sea level. Take some time to prepare your day pack and then begin the 1.5-hour trek to the first of the Ausangate Lakes. Hike at a comfortable pace along the steep terrain with a small group and attentive guide who will look out for your safety. Then trek back to Pacchanta where a fortifying local lunch awaits you. Once you've refueled, hop in the nearby hot springs and relax as you take in incredible views of the surrounding highlands. Arrive back in Cusco between 6 and 7 pm.

The names of the seven lagoons of Ausangate, Cusco are: Lake Superior, Lake Otorongo Hombre, Lake Otorongo, Lake Rojo, Lake Ccomer, Laguna Azul and Lake Alqa. On the Laguna Ausangate 7 Tour we have the opportunity to visit the community settlement of Pakanta and its hot springs. Itinerary: We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 04:00 am (Hotels located within the historic center) and we will continue driving to the town of Pacchanta, where we will have a refreshing breakfast. Next we will begin our walk from the town of Pacchanta and after 2 hours of walking we arrive at a viewpoint from where you can see the 7 lagoons of Ausangate. Then we will walk for another 3 hours visiting most of the 7 lagoons to finally reach the starting point of the town of Pacchanta (where we will enjoy a delicious lunch). Finally we return to the city of Cusco. Arrival time, 6pm near the main square.

Itinerary Between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco to go to the village of Tinki. From there, we will continue to Pacchanta to enjoy a tasty breakfast. With renewed energy, we will get ready to embark on a trekking route through the Nevado Ausangate and its 7 turquoise lagoons. Are you ready for adventure? We will travel through the Vilcanota mountain range discovering the impressive landscape of the Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Tike and Ausangate peaks. Did you know that the latter is the sixth largest mountain in Peru with 6385 meters? Along the way, we will encounter llamas, alpacas, viscachas and, with a little luck, we will see the majestic Andean condor. As we ascend, we will stop at the lakes of Azul Cocha, Pucacocha, Sibinacocha, Otorongo, Alcacocha, Comercocha and a small lake located in a very surprising place. Pay attention to the dazzling color of the water! After a short break, we will go down to Pacchanta, where we will leave you an hour of free time to relax in its hot springs. Afterwards, we will recharge our batteries by enjoying a traditional lunch. Finally, we will head back to Cusco. Around 7:00 p.m. we will leave you in the surroundings of Cusco's main square.
