Full description

If you're after a relaxed-pace day, with a small group of people then this afternoon tour is for you. Depart on the 12:00 PM ferry from Auckland over to Matiatia Wharf on the island where your guide will meet you. Begin with a drive along the scenic northern route, taking in spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to the Coromandel Peninsula. Enjoy engaging and informative commentary along the way from your experienced guide who is intimately familiar with Waiheke’s history, culture, people, and produce. Discover some of Waiheke's 'off the beaten track' venues located amongst the rugged and beautiful landscape found at the Eastern End of Waiheke. The tour includes a beer or wine tasting followed by a wine tasting and vineyard platter lunch. After lunch, relax with a gin tasting and a gin cocktail at Waiheke Distilling Company and take in the stunning views overlooking Ponui, Pakatoa, and Rotoroa Islands.

The tour returns you to Matiatia Wharf in time for the 6:00 PM ferry. Or, if you would like to linger a little longer on the island, then chat with your friendly guide. They can help arrange a dinner booking at a venue of your choice or drop you off into Oneroa Village so that you can enjoy the evening at your leisure.

Absolutely awesome adventure. Thought the experience was fantastic. Everything went perfectly in terms of logistics. We met a delightful couple and formed a solid friendship and we were hosted by Jess and Michael who really made the day perfect. Heather and I would thoroughly recommend this tour to any couple who like wine and banter and beautiful country side

Nick our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the island and Auckland and surrounds. He was great to chat to and interacted great with all on the tour. The island was amazing to drive through and see the scenery and country side. The tour option came with an amazing lunch. The wineries on the tour were beautiful and set in a very scenic part of the island.

Overall good & nice

Overall wine tasting in 4 different vineyard but would prefer less 1 vineyard and spend more time in 3. Kinda too rush, should have more time to enjoy at the vineyard. 1st (peacock) is the best as provided some snack to match different wine. The lunch platter served was really awesome at 2nd vineyard but portion a bit too much. 3rd we have strong taste wine and 4th we have very nice sunset view. And don't forget the friendly driver cum tour guide.
