What to Expect
Join this tour which will take you over Auckland’s Harbor Bridge, and the sparkling Waitemata Harbor. North of the city limits, you will visit the Honey Center near Warkworth which boasts New Zealand’s largest display of live bees, where a huge range of honeys are available for tasting, and a wide range of honey-related skincare products, ointments, honey mead and fruit wine await your perusal.

The village of Matakana is your next stop for a visit to the renowned Morris and James Pottery works to see their amazing range of individually hand-crafted pots, wall art and sculptural pieces. There is a tour of the pottery where you can see the potters at their craft.

Passing rolling farmland and vineyards, your tour visits peaceful Parry Kauri Park and the Early Settlers Museum. Here you will see 600 and 800 year old Kauri trees as you stroll through a stand of regenerating native bush. You also visit historic Puhoi village where you can imagine how it was to live here in the 1800’s. The historic hotel and the beautiful library were built by the Bohemian settlers who arrived around 1863.

Time permitting, a winding country road brings us to stunning beaches of Sulllivans Bay in Mahurangi Regional Park – white sand, shady Pohutakawa trees make this an unforgettable sight. Paddle in the cool clear water, before your return to Auckland City and your accommodation.
