What people are saying about Auckland
The tour was perfectly paced with a delicious lunch at the first vineyard and a visit to the Gannett colony before the final vineyard. Tastings covered a wide variety if wines and hosts were knowledgeable and friendly. The wines got better with each vineyard we visited and the final stop also had an idyllic location. The gannet colony was a very easy walk and the gannets were nesting within a metre of the viewing platform. It was very special to see chicks being fed so close.
Absolutely awesome adventure. Thought the experience was fantastic. Everything went perfectly in terms of logistics. We met a delightful couple and formed a solid friendship and we were hosted by Jess and Michael who really made the day perfect. Heather and I would thoroughly recommend this tour to any couple who like wine and banter and beautiful country side
Worried that there would be too many people walking in the same place as us and the birds would not be comfortable to hang about. Once we were on our walk we barely saw anyone else, and we saw lots of birds, and hopefully we have some great photos. Even saw a Takahe ahead on the track, although it disappeared down a bank before we came adjacent to it.
Loved it, we did the twilight one, beautiful views and lots of fun. We raced on the beach and in the vineyards. Andrew was a great host, he was happy for us to have a drink and enjoy the sunset at Mudbrick vineyard. Highly recommend it.
The tour guide and the driver are both accommodating. It was a good value for money. Perfect for summer tour with family. It's a chill activity. Just bring lots of water especially on summertime.
