My family trip to the Georgia Aquarium was good overall. It was crowed however, if they would enforce the time slots I believe that would help with the crowd control. We were not able to see the main attractions i.e. the Dolphins show or the 4D Theater, as they were booked for all shows for the rest of the day as soon as we got there. Our time slot was 11:30. How then were they booked for the rest of the day. There was not an option for me to reserve seats for the shows when I purchased my tickets online. It was my Grandson's 12th birthday. I found out after the fact he could have gotten in free. There don't appear to be much info about things like that when you buy your tickets online. They say masks are required..there were thousands of people walking around without them. In spite not being able to see the shows it was pretty cool seeing all the fish, whales, and dolphins. I would go back but would definitely read more to try and make my trip better.

If you haven’t purchased tickets ahead of time you will be in for a surprise since they sell out. We arrived and from out of state where told sorry sold out. We were fortunate to find via a third party vendor. Our trip was not ruined and it turned out great.

What they don’t tell you: No one told us to make reservations prior for entry, not all shows are included, you have to pay extra and make reservations in advance to see all shows. There is no notification to this. Positive points: Staff is super friendly, restrooms are clean, free cold filtered water station upstairs, dolphin show is very informative and fun, the splash section is really the splash section and you get super soaked, water is freezing cold. Negative points: food sucks and is over priced. Gift shop is overpriced and doesn’t have too many unique items. Touch tank and the kids activity wing was closed.
