Full description
Start the tour with a stop at Cabbagetown - a historic cotton mill-town established in the late 19th century which still retains its unique and historical architecture. Then head over to Inman Park to see the site of the Battle of Atlanta. Marvel at the many decorative Victorian homes in the neighborhood including the home of the founder of Coca Cola.  Next, continue on to Oakland Cemetery - a garden cemetery which is the final resting place for various historical figures including Civil War soldiers, the author of Gone with the Wind, and the founder of The Masters Golf Tournament. Visit numerous locations associated with the life of Martin Luther King Jr., the leader of the Civil Rights movement including his birthplace, church, and final resting place. Finally, end the tour at Sweet Auburn Curb Market - Atlanta's only public market located on what was known in the early 20th century as the richest African-American street in the world.
