Full description

Explore Argolis and its archaeological sites on a guided tour by van or bus. See Mycenae, the Lion's Gate, Nafplio, and more as you learn about their history. Tuck into a delicious local lunch (if you select the option) in Mycenae and taste local flavors.

Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. Drive to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city "rich in gold" of the ancient poets.

Visit the Lion's Gate, the Cyclopean walls, the royal tombs, and so forth. Depart for Nafplio through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress.

Find numerous interesting spots of attractions all over Argolis. Leave for Epidauros to visit the 4th-century BC theatre famous for its astonishing acoustics. Return to Athens by the National road connecting Epidauros with Corinth. Enjoy lunch in Mycenae.

The trip was excellent and we could visit all the places as planned. The tour guide was very informational and provided lot of details about each place. She as constantly switching between French and English and it was bit confusing at times. The lunch option was ok. I hope we didn't take the pre-paid lunch option and we could order from the menu.

Basically a nice trip. The tour guide was very engaging and knew a lot. The times are rather tight, which is positive for me. It is a pity that the organizer always wants to do additional business: coffee breaks, lunch and a pottery course reduce the time and are not of very high quality. You could have an excellent lunch in the city and then you wouldn't have to stress so much, the food would also be much better.

They picked us up at the dedicated place on time. Our guide, Efi, was very nice and knowledgeable about Greek mythology and history and shared all that with us as we go along the way. Before hopping off to each spot, clear instructions were given as to the time we were expected to be back on the bus. As usual, it’s a little hurried but if you want to get to know each spots more deeply, you can always go back on your own to those places for a more in-depth experience. Overall, I recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to venture out of Athens. It was worth it! And also, you can choose the “no-lunch” option and just buy ala-carte if you want independence in the kind of food you want to eat.
