Athina was wonderful. On the long bus ride down she entertained us with history and “quizzes” about history and mythology. We found her commentary both entertaining and informative. We got some lovely sunset shots and then were dropped off at a very convenient location. Although the travel was quite long, Athina made the time fly by. We heartily recommend this well-organized and fun-filled tour.

Know before you go

  • If your hotel/address is located outside the central Athens area, you will be assigned a centrally located meeting point, close to a central Metro Station
  • Central Athens includes areas within the boundaries of Syntagma, Plaka, Monastiraki, Omonoia and Acropolis.
  • If your hotel/address is located within a narrow pedestrianized area, you will be assigned an alternative pickup point, typically not further than a 2-5 minute walk
  • You will receive an email after booking from the activity provider with your exact pickup details 24 hours prior departure
  • Departure time may vary based on the sunset time of each month (Sunset tour option)
  • Pickups start 40-50 minutes prior to indicated starting time
  • During the tour you may have the chance to swim so bring a swimsuit and towel
  • Afternoon departure is roughly 4:00 PM, depending on the sunset. Winter departure (between November to March) is roughly 3:00 PM
  • The beach stop starts at the end of April and finishes by late October
