It was the best experience in Greece. It was fun, cheerful and warm. Tiama went to meet us and we went to a very important dance school and the teacher was more than special. I was delighted with the dances from various parts of Greece and the hours passed without us feeling. Dinner was at a wonderful Greek restaurant, with typical Greek music. It was the best event in Athens.

Met our guide at the appointed time and went directly to the teaching school. There we were met by our dance teacher who was a charming lady and lessons began. Our teacher was from the Dora Stratou group so obviously a very competent teacher. She introduced us to different types of dancing and was utterly patient when I (in particular made errors). The experience was thoroughly excellent. When lessons finished it was time to dine and we walked with our guide through Plaka to a beautifully located and busy taverna. The starters were average and main course was bland, chicken, rice and chips. Dessert was yoghurt and honey but could have been garnished with a little fruit. Our guide had dined inside the restaurant while we ate outside (to take in the view) but when the meal was finished and we looked for him he had disappeared.
