First of all, our tour guide Vivian was absolutely amazing. She was clear informative and really made the tour interesting. Thank you. The tour itself was brilliant, a stop for the toilet, a stop at a historic theatre and finally the Temple of Poseidon and the sunset (clear skies on New Year’s Eve 2024). All of it was incredible. A must do tour. Thank you. Also thank you for the bottle of water midway round the trip - it was really welcome.

Experience a journey back in time with a day trip from Athens to Cape Sounion. Meet outside the Halandri Metro Station (Blue Line), which is a 20-minute ride from Athens Syntagma. Once you are at Halandri Metro Station, follow the exit “To Vrilissia” and meet your guide outside the station.

We arrived +-30 mins before starting time at the starting point (metro station). Ammon tours had already a representative waiting. The early arrivals were placed in the 1st bus, which left early. Later arrivals were placed in 2nd bus. It was then a 20 min ride to a quick bathroom stop. then another 20 mins to the oldest theatre. Vivian our archeological guide entertained us with stories throughout the trip. Driver Jorgeos did the driving. We arrived +-1 hour before sundown at Sounos. Expect to be safely back at Syntagma Square around 2h after sundown. Excellent activity for a day out - if the weather is nice.
