I really enjoyed the tour guide and visiting the amazing scenery. I do think everyone should go see Meteora at least once in their life! I think as a day trip it is a VERY long day. Also, if clear directions were given on how to get to the Larissa train station, that would be great, we got lost! (For future trip-goers, take the red line metro from the Plaka!) I would recommend going for sure, but maybe opt for an overnighter.

This was a highlight of my Greece trip - the mountains are gorgeous, the monasteries are fascinating, and we met a lot of interesting fellow travelers on the way. The tour group handled all the complicated logistics for us, and made the trip out from Athens very smooth. It definitely seemed possible to visit Meteora without a guide, but it would have required a lot of uphill walking. Our guide, Maria, was really knowledgeable and fun to spend a day with. Overall I'd highly recommend.

Everything great. Train ride and sightseeing were very well organized. In total we visited 4 monasteries and always had enough time to look at everything in peace and without hectic. Maria is a super nice tour guide who had an answer to all questions. Thank you again Maria for the nice day.
