  • A modest dress code is enforced to enter the monasteries. For women, skirts below the knee are required. Pants, shorts, or sleeveless shirts are not allowed. For men, sleeveless clothing and shorts above the knee are also prohibited.
  • This tour is usually done by train. However, recent flooding in Greece has temporarily disrupted train services. Replacement buses are in place to ensure uninterrupted travel until train services are restored. The itineraries and stops of this tour remain unaffected so that you can enjoy this activity with confidence

Es una actividad que recomiendo al 100%, son increibles los monasterios en las rocas y las vistas que se pueden apreciar desde ellos. algo que tienes que visitar aunque sea una vez en la vida, maravillosa experiencia. Aunque es un dia muy largo y muchas horas en el tren, vale la pena por lo que te espera al llegar que es maravilloso.

Yes 4 hours for one way is long but sooo worth it! Our guide was super knowledgeable and she took her time to answer all the questions and took photos for us. Her personal story was really moving. Thank you for that. We made many photo stops during our trip which I didn‘t expect. We could also visit three(!) monestaries and we could take all the time we possibly could have for this day. It was fantastic! It never felt rushed and everything extremely well scheduled. Highly recommend this agency!

Katrina had SO MUCH knowledge! She’s actually spent time in the hermit caves and her love for the history of this area shone through in her presentations. We learned so much! She also managed to herd the group along efficiently while never making us feel rushed.
