I would definitely recommend this tour! First off: Delphi gives you a nice breather from the busy streets of Athens by taking you out into the middle of the mountains where rather than seeing olive trees everywhere, you see fields of Cotten and pine. Secondly: I would say a guide is borderline required for Delphi. While the sight is gorgeous and interesting as is- without a guide, honestly it’s just a few pillars and rocks that look like any other ruin you’d see. But with this tour- while the guide doesn’t come into the sight with you, he spends the hour and a half bus ride telling you all the myths and stories that surround this place giving these rocks and columns a light that you would have never seen. He really used his passion to rebuild the sight in my mind. I would definitely recommend this tour to any history buff’s out there traveling to Greece to immerge yourself in it’s great history!

Katerina our guide was fantastic, filling in the coach ride with a "brief" history of Greece and then going over the site at Delphi and what to expect when we get there. This was nicely balanced with quiet time for looking at the scenery or napping! I felt that the time we had at Delphi was just right (2.5hrs). We really enjoyed the stop for lunch at Arachova, beautiful views! You can choose where to eat but were given recommendations, and then we walked around taking photos of this picturesque town. We appreciated that this tour started at Halandri metro station to try and cut out some of the Athens traffic (can't avoid it entirely!). One of the things we normally hate about big full day coach trips is the time wasted driving around to different hotels picking people up and dropping off, so the time saved by starting further out, giving us less time on the bus and more time at Delphi and Arachova was appreciated.
