An excellent 2 day tour with faultless organisation. Such good value. My return train left at 6.30 pm and the tour finished at 12.30pm. Kalabaka is not very interesting, so I would recommend negotiating with your hotel for a late checkout. The climbs to the monasteries are demanding, so definitely not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Photos inside the monasteries are forbidden so but the illustrated guide.

Clear instructions and train tickets will be emailed to you before the trip. Meteora is a great sight and definitely worth going if you’re in Athens. Guides were knowledgeable and gave insights with great story telling. There isn’t much to do at the town itself as it is a small one, so focus of the trip is on the 2 tours provided. Afternoon of day 2 will be time by yourself to relax at the town perhaps at a cafe or restaurant for about 4 hours while waiting for train ride which is after 6pm.

You have to pay for your own monastery tickets and also get to the Kalambaka station go Athens once it's over. The tour guides were amazing and well versed in the monastery and the rocks history. The hotel was very old and not that good but the hotel staff was amazing and so very kind.
