Sophie was amazing.. She is a warm, kind and gracious tour guide. I had the best time ever on her walking food tour. It is by far the best and most interesting foods that I have tasted in Athens. I’m am so grateful that I was exposed to a more local.. style tour that perfectly highlighted the modern Greek culture. I highly recommend that everyone take this tour. It was an unforgettable experience for me.

When we arrived to meet our guide, I was a little dubious about the location. As with much of Athens, many of the buildings were dilapidated and most were covered in graffiti. This was a little more ‘street’ than I had anticipated! However, as soon as we met our guide, any reservations disappeared. She was so proud of her city and encouraged us to see the beauty in the graffiti and to celebrate the freedom of expression. Her knowledge of the area was excellent and we stopped just enough times to hear little bits of information about various buildings. Our first food stop was for traditional pies. We stopped at a local bakery and were given a very warm welcome along with cheese pies, spinach pies and cinnamon custard pies, all of which were delicious. We were a little uncertain as to how much to pace ourselves as we were not sure what else was to come. I would say portions were perfect. We had several stops for cheese m, wine, souvlaki and amazing salads. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Super découverte de 2 quartiers avec notre super guide Evelina, qui allie connaissance de l'histoire de sa ville et de belles adresses où nous avons déguster des spécialités délicieuses, dans une ambiance très agréable (petit groupe de 9 personnes), mon ado de 13 ans a adoré, un bon moyen de faire connaissance avec cette ville attachante et vivante. Je recommande vivement ce tour.
