We had a wonderful experience. The tour started with freshly baked pies made by an establishment that’s 100 years old. Then we had Greek doughnuts drizzled with honey, light and tasty but not too filling. Then we had coffee heated by hot sand followed by a variety of Greek appetizers and ouzo. The appetizers were a good portion for our group, we all had a little bit of about 12 apps. This was followed by a wine and olive oil tasting. It was 1 type of white wine, 2 olive oils and 2 balsamic vinegar tastings and we loved the balsamic with spearmint. The finale was a souvlaki at an almost 100 year old establishment as well. Come hungry and leave with not only your stomachs full but also with your heart joyful because it was quite an adventure through food.

I didn't expect so much food! Come very hungry! we had traditional Greek pies: spinach and feta cheese, chickpeas, and bell peppers and chicken. Donuts with ice cream, Greek coffee, wine, fancy balsamic vinegars and olive oils and Gyros. we took the Gyros to go! Katherine is an amazing guide who knows her stuff. we had a small group of 6 people. just the right amount of people. I didn't tell you about the small plates!! Calamari, meatballs, fried cheese, fried bread, chicken, ouzo and another alcoholic beverage that I forgot the name. My first day here; so jetlagged and exhausted. The tour kept us going!! Katherine, if you're reading this, you ROCK!

Panos was an excellent guide! Come hungry- there were unfortunately some disgruntled people on our tour that started complaining about “eating more food”… it is a good tour and there will be lots of it. To my surprise, we skipped a lot of the basics (koulouri, lukumades, gyros, etc) but that’s ok because we found those on our own. Our tour consisted of a place with lots of Greek pies, the meat/seafood market, Greek coffee, mezes, olives, and a place for olive oil/balsamic tasting (might be missing one). Was still a great tour!
