I’ve used buses like this in multiple major cities and there are a few differences good and bad. Good is the audio tour is legible and nice. Even with all the tourists and traffic, the bus isn’t incredibly packed where there isn’t any seats. I’m not sure if that’s a constant thing or just because of the time of year I came to visit. Bad thing is there is no set schedule with times of pick ups. In other cities there’s apps available where you can track the bus or they have a set schedule time at what time the bus will be there at every stop through out the day. This one doesn’t, you have to guess when it’ll be there as it only shows the times when the service first starts. I don’t know if the other competitors are the same or if it’s this one. Nonetheless it was enjoyable, not very packed, and informative. It’s cheaper than hitching a taxi if you buy the three day pass.

The red route covers city centre, with interesting and informative commentary through the headphones in many different languages. We covered a lot in one day, visited the Acropolis, stopped off for a coffee is a roof top bar. Very good value for money.

we booked green and red lines hoping to change lines at the Acropolis, the trip on green line took much longer than epected and we had to miss the red line to meet with our schedule. The buses were very hot considering summer and they did not had sufficent air conditioning.
