Full description
Discover how to make traditional Greek food on a 4-hour cooking class, including a tour of a local market. Start your day at meeting point, where you’ll meet the chef. Then head to the market to pick up some ingredients and discover hidden places to eat, drink, and shop in the area. Your cook will show you some of the more interesting and unique products on offer, and give you tips on how to use them. Back at the cooking studio, you’ll be shown how to prepare the food and enjoy a hands-on experience making various dishes yourself. The course has been designed to be simple enough for any cook, no matter the skill level.  When the cooking class is over, you can sit down with your classmates and chef to taste what you have created. Wine and soft drinks are served with the meal. Your cook will also give you access to our recipes, so that you'll be able to make these dishes again at home.

Great experience! We left full and happy. The cooking part that you learn is the prep and ingredients; they do the actual cooking/baking, which allows the class to cover several different dishes (spanakopita, dolmas, imam baildi, tzatziki, and orange cake!). I liked that they provide the recipes later and tell you to focus on how things look and feel. They are very accommodating to dietary restrictions (there was a vegan who didn't eat garlic in our group!).

It was just great! Funny, authentic, delicious! In addition to the interesting visit to the market and the cooking experience, we met nice people from all over the world who we would never have met otherwise. Cooking connects :) Vasja and Antonia just did everything so well! We would book the course again at any time!

As we spent a week in Athens we decided to book the cooking lesson as something extra to do. We had a lovely session (and private for the two of us as others hadn’t booked the morning slot) and learnt lots about Greek food from our host. She was friendly and funny and we had a great time learning from her. It does not matter if you are a regular cook or not. The food we made (spinach and cheese pie, orange pie, stuffed vine leaves, plus a few more) was delicious and explained well from a local. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot. We will be making the recipes at home!
