Giorgos Fokkalis our guide was excellent. He was very knowledgable about the history of Athens and took us to parts of the old town that we probably wouldn’t have discovered by ourselves . He welcomed questions and was very attentive to the needs of the party.

If you want to experience the Akropolis and avoid the main entrance; then this is your tour. A little more effort in "climbing" the mountain, but it is worth it! Lots of info and enough time to take your pics and walk around. Start early to avoid masses of people.

Our guide, Marina (?), was terrific. A very well-paced morning climb from the side entrance with informative stops in the shade made it comfortable even for those with trouble walking (like me). Marina's wealth of knowledge was awesome & interesting, and she was very good at handling our questions and needs. It would have been 5 stars if we could have taken the Plaka & Anafiotika parts, too, but they were canceled for 'technical reasons.' Exploring those areas on our own was far less satisfying than Marina would have made it.
