Look at a few documentaries beforehand and then simply book the ticket. Entry is easy with the gyg app. We don't like a tour. Since you have no time to let everything work on you. It's more for stressies. Very interesting what has been done on the Acropolis since the EU times. Very important: If you want to leave the hill again, definitely go left. Or even better: choose the entrance from the Acropolis Museum. So not to the museum but with your back to the museum - the Acropolis in sight. There is an entrance (keep a little to the right). So you get the dimension of this restoration project bit by bit. It is a task of the century. The "Self-guided virtual reality tour" is very helpful. VR glasses are included in the price (the app is 1.2 GB in size!). The shop is in the street behind the museum on the left.
