Whilst feeling very industrial and touristy, it was an informative trip. We visited three of the four open monasteries that day and it was well worth a visit! Our guide was well informed and friendly and the air conditioned bus was welcome. Our group was about 20 strong and we were given time allowances for each monastery and a few photo opportunities at the end. It was worthwhile: it saved us the hassle and stress of booking our own tickets to Meteora. Also, visiting monasteries without a car is near impossible, so it was necessary for us, without a hire car! We felt we could have packed more in and visited a few more monasteries, and the tour guide’s English was not the most fluent. However, he was intelligible and humorous.

We started the journey on our own by train from Athens to Kalambaka. I got the tickets earlier by e-mail. A minibus with a guide was waiting for us in Kalambaka. Overall, I liked sightseeing. There was time to visit 3 monasteries inside, we took photos on the way at viewpoints. The guide on the way told about the history and various curiosities in English. Finally, we had time to eat lunch on our own before returning from Kalambaka to Athens by train. Overall, I liked it and it is really worth buying this trip to see Meteors efficiently for people staying in Athens!

incredible experience ¡¡one of the best natural spectacles we have seen¡¡¡ the landscapes visited and the photos obtained are undoubtedly worth the price paid for this tour and the hours invested in a very long train trip. fully recommended for lovers of nature and majestic landscapes; be prepared for the long journey on a 2 to 3 star train (but very clean); Harry's very friendly guide with excellent Spanish (despite not being a native) who made the tour even more interesting.
