The e-tickets were great. For the audio guide tours, the download process was very easy. We thought the Ancient Agora tour was ok - a lot of detail and thought the directions were a little tricky to follow (and the map was difficult to follow as well). The Acropolis audio tour was terrific - just the right amount of detail and easy to follow. The Olympieion audio tour was the least effective one - the directions aren’t read out loud and the guide auto plays from one story to the next without us realizing we should have walked onto the next stop. I think the tour was worth it for the Acropolis tour alone, but my husband and I shared one audio device, so we should have purchased 1 e-ticket+audio guide and then 1 e-ticket only to save a bit of $.

I booked Acropolis entrance tickets and was sent a free downloadable audio guide. It was a self tour so no real feedback on the purchase itself. The Acropolis is busy and it gets very hot so go early to avoid the crowds and not overheat. Wear a hat and take water. The vendors just outside sell drinks but it’s pricey

We did not use the audio guide. This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Really humbling. Probably not for the mobility-impaired. Lots of uneven ground. Placards in front of the buildings tell a lot of the story. You’d be remiss to be in Athens and not visit this at least once in your life.
