Paris: Atelier des Lumières Entry Ticket
Visit the Atelier des Lumières to experience this year's primary exhibition: Egyptian Pharaohs from Cheops to Ramses II. The immersive exhibition takes visitors on a journey, starting with a prologue and continuing along the sacred River Nile. See daily life in ancient Egypt brought to life through magnificent bas-reliefs, paintings, and ancient papyri. Take in gigantic construction sites and feats of ancient architecture and watch as the pyramids take shape before your eyes. Learn about the pharaohs who ruled the unified kingdom of Upper and Lower Egypt and experience the monumental sculptures of sovereigns whose names resonate throughout history. Explore Egyptian temples, from Luxor to Abu Simbel, and marvel at the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, both displayed in dazzling color on the walls of Atelier des Lumières. Finally, the exhibition comes to an end with an invitation to enter the afterlife by taking a closer look at the astronomical ceiling of Dendera. For art enthusiasts, the Orientalists exhibition offers an exciting glimpse into the world of Ingres, Delacroix, Gérôme, and other major names from European expressionism. Gaze at larger-than-life depictions of the artists' work and embark on a pictorial expedition to the exotic and bewitching world of the Orient. From February 16, these 2 exhibitions are joined by a third installation: Foreign Nature. The contemporary creation by Julius Horsthuis makes use of computer-generated fractals to seamlessly marry mathematics and art, creating a world where the differences between the organic and the artificial, the macro and the micro all blend into a strange and unseen universe.
