After pickup from your hotel in Aswan, you’ll head to the port with your expert guide to begin your trip down the Nile. Departing in the afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time to gaze out from your luxurious quarters, or to hang out by the pool, catching a glimpse of the Nile’s lush flora and diverse fauna with lunch. Around sunset, you’ll arrive at the Temple of Kom Ombo, dating back to 180 BCE. Amble through the stately columns, learning of the complex religious significance that the building holds, paying tribute to 2 gods simultaneously. Afterwards, you’ll hop back on board for dinner, arriving in Edfu for the night where the boat will dock. After breakfast, you’ll head out to the Temple of Edfu, a shrine to the god Horus, and one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. Your River Nile adventure begins with pickup from your Aswan hotel in the late afternoon. Head down towards the river then hop on board your private boat for the evening and set sail along the infamous waters of the Nile. Arrive at the first stop of the tour, the Botanical Gardens on Lord Kitchener Island, home to an array of plants that were imported from all over the wold in the 1800s. Enjoy some free time to stroll around the gardens, admiring the majestic palm trees that line the walkways including the Sabal Palm and Phonic Palm as well as Ficus trees and other beautiful bougainvillea trees. Head back to the boat and continue along the Nile, watching the sunset and the sky change color.
