We really loved the tasting and learning about how it’s made in the wine cellar, but it would’ve been nice to see more of how the balsamic and how the olive oil is produced.

This tour was spectacular! First off Guiliana was amazing, very kind and knowledgeable both about the area and the tour material. Secondly, the area is beyond stunning, everywhere you look takes your breath away. Thirdly, the owner of the vineyard/olive grove/vinegary Maria personally prepares the majority of the food that is paired with the wine tasting. Which meant it all tasted so fresh and as someone whose not usually into wine I left with a large order. Finally, overall the entire experience was well worth our 2hr drive to assisi and might be the highlight of my trip :)

Full description

Begin your tour with pickup in Assisi city center, then drive to the countryside to discover an organic family winery, old vineyards and olive groves, and a local balsamic vinegar facility. Through this expeirence, you will learn the real difference between organic and conventional farming and the products of organic farms.

During your visit, see where balsamic vinegar and wine is made, from the pressing machines to the aging room and the bottling machine. After the visit, relish a guided tasting of balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, and 5 different organic wines paired with hot bruschetta, a selection of typical cheeses and salami, and homemade biscotti with the sweet wine.

While you enjoy your wine, you will be able to gaze at the breathtaking views of the Valley of Assisi. The tour concludes with drop-off in Assisi city center.

What an amazing experience! Giulia was delightful! She was very knowledgeable and shared so much with passion. The views were amazing and of course the tasting was wonderful! Highly recommend, especially a taste of the balsamic vinegar!
