Arvika: Vehicle Museum
The Arvika Vehicle Museum boasts a vast collection of over 100 vehicles, showcasing highlights like the Mercedes 370 S Cabriolet 1931, Humber 1903, and Volvo PV Valbo Cabriolet from 1953. The museum focuses on unusual brands in original condition, many with local historical significance. To keep the exhibition fresh, vehicles are rotated every year. The museum isn't just about cars; it features motorcycles, mopeds, horse-drawn carriages, sleds, bicycles, and even a kick sled from Arvika Vagnfabrik. Many items are on loan from private individuals and institutions like the Technical Museum in Stockholm, which contributed a Thulin car and a 1915 Detroit Electric car. Arvika has a rich history in bicycle manufacturing, represented by five bikes from Arvika Velocipedfabrik. Motorsport enthusiasts will appreciate the displays dedicated to local legends like Per Eklund, showcasing his trophies and racing cars, including the MG Metro 6R4 1986 and the Saab 9-3 Viggen. Visit the model car shop for a variety of models at good prices. Don't miss out on Arvika Fordonsmuseum's own publications, detailing the history of vehicles, roads, and motorsport in Västra Värmland. The book is available for purchase at the museum or online for SEK 200.
