Following pickup from your accommodation, you'll head to the Materuni Village. Once there, take a short but challenging hike to the Materuni Falls where you can enjoy the beautiful views. Following that, visit a coffee farm to learn about how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed. You will then try your hand at roasting and preparing a fresh cup of raw and local coffee. Once your coffee-making experience has concluded, head to the Materuni village for a local lunch. You will then drive to a warm-water spring, which is one of the best places to swim in the area. Village walk and Waterfalls: We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Moshi, Arusha or upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro/Arusha airports in a clean airconditioned vehicle and drive short distance to Materuni village. Materuni village is still an authentic tribal village home to the Chagga tribe and the last village before the Kilimanjaro National Park. First we start by a village walk to visit Materuni waterfalls, which are around a 45-minute walk away. On the way, learn about the culture of the Chagga tribe, village life, and the surrounding flora and fauna with your guide. Admire the breathtaking views and with luck, catch sight of the summit of Kilimanjaro, On the way trail can be slippery & muddy, best to have good hiking shoes with grip and a rain coat. When you reach the waterfalls, marvel at cascades that are more than 80-meters (262-feet) high. Day 1: Arusha - Serengeti National Park Start your safari and camping adventure with hotel pickup from Arusha in the morning. Drive to Serengeti National Park with your complimentary packed lunch. Take a game drive en route to the campsite. Discover Serengeti National Park, known for its abundance of animals and the great wildebeest migration. It's a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife and is home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, eland, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and many birds, including Eurasia migrant birds. Have dinner and stay overnight in a tent at the camp Day 2: Full Day at Serengeti After breakfast, you will go on wide-ranging morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Your guide will locate the flocks of migrant birds and the herds. Spot carnivores like big cats and hyenas. See the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra in action. Learn about the park as you drive and see why the Maasai gave the park the name Serengeti, which means “endless plains”. Break for lunch and dinner at the campsite and spend one more night at the Campsite. Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater Enjoy breakfast and check out of your accommodations before taking a game drive as you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Crater. During the tour, there will be an optional visit to the Olduvai Gorge at an extra fee for the museum. Have dinner and spend the night at Ngorongoro “A” Campsite.  Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Floor – Arusha Have an early breakfast and head to Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend to the crater floor for game drives. Maasai community live in small mud-thatched villages, surrounded by their cattle and smaller livestock. For hundreds of years the Maasai have roamed these lands of Tanzania, living a free, nomadic lifestyle. A highlight of your Kilimanjaro climb or safari vacation is a visit with these Maasai people. Many of the tribal villages welcome visitors to their villages to view up close their culture and lifestyle. On this day trip you will have a special opportunity to experience with Maasai Community. The tour begins with a 1.5-2 hour canoe trip around Lake Duluti. Nature lovers will enjoy learning about the flora and fauna of the lake and surrounding forest. With up to 130 different recorded bird species, Lake Duluti is a haven for birdwatchers. Common bird sightings include gray herons, fish eagles, cormorants, ospreys, egrets, and kingfishers; while monitor lizards can often be spotted basking on broken trees around the lake’s edge. On very clear days guests may also enjoy views of Mounts Meru and Kilimanjaro. From Duluti we will then cycle to Mangalia Waterfall (3-4 hours return) where visitors can enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool mountain water. Along the way we pass through coffee farms and visit a small home-brewery where they prepare “mbege”, a traditional banana beer from the Chagga ethnic group. This experience of Tanzanian life and culture ends with a taste of local food as guests enjoy a late lunch around 2-3pm. The tour ends in Tengeru around 3-4pm.
