Full description

With the right safety equipment and experient monitors, it certainly won't be a problem to avoid the many obstacles you will encounter in Ribeira do Fontão, next to the Paiva River. We selected this section as suitable for beginners or for less experienced practitioners, allowing the activity to be carried out practically throughout the year. Hold on tight to the ropes as the adrenaline and fun will be guaranteed. At the end, you will enjoy a short dynamic descent along the Paiva River, returning via the famous Paiva Walkways to the starting point.

The route was quite interesting and for an introductory course it included several activities, from going down the waterfall, jumping into the water and going down the river. However, our group had 3 children (8-16 years old) and it was quite difficult for them, which made the experience/discovery much more difficult, and we ended up not completing it. In my opinion, this introductory course is not suitable for children. There is no alternative route if they are unable to do it, so we had to improvise a lot to get the children out of the waterfall.

Perfect route, to start with a rappel then a few jumps in the river and finally the descents of the rapids. All this in a magnificent setting. Very friendly instructor.
