What people are saying about Arona
This was, I feel, a good value visit. We got picked up and dropped off very locally and got a comfy ride up through the Tenerife mountains. The meal in a local vineyard was tasty and homely with very nice wine and amazing views. We had a warm welcome there. We arrived at the peak of Teide with enough time to see the landscape and watch the sunset. We were way above the clouds and soon the sky became really dark. Daniella, who presented the information about the stars was confident and entertaining. It was an interesting presentation for novice stargazers. The advice to wrap up warm was spot on. My only criticism is that the commentary on the coach journey up was difficult to hear (partly due to the sound system and party due to noise of engine). However I think what we got for the price was good value for a couple and a lovely way to see Teide.
The universe (and stargazing) has always intrigued man. To study the sky in one of the absolute best places on earth, on a crystal clear night, was indeed one of the best experiences in life. Our guide was key to making this an unforgetable night; knowledgeable, entertaining, entousiastic, and fun who managed to create a good atmosphere in the group and who educated us about the stars and planets as well as about the island Tenerife - the the people, the culture, the good, the vegetation, the history and the volcanic creation of this island. On the way up we enjoyed a nice dinner in Vilaflor. The whole tour was also comfortably and safely taken care of by the busdriver. All in all, a highly recommendable tour!
We did not visit one of the villages. Though it was planned. Our guide cancelled it without even asking people. He also was not good at all. We expected a more in detail information about the iland, its history, its first people and some explanation of the origin of the name of the island, etc. I suppose one can say that we may google the information if we want, which we did anyway after the trip we paid money for. The stops throughout the trip were very short. Just enough to take pic no time for admiring the amazing views. Would recommend people who would like the basics of the basics on the volcano Teide.
The guide and the bus driver were fantastic, they found spots without too much people for us to enjoy the power of the scenery without all the others bus. Our guide handled the tour in 3 languages and had full of fantastic infos about the geology, botanic, fauna and history of the site and the island, gave everyone special attention and answered any questions precisely. Loved it!!
Went to Siam park, I bought the tickets online and by the time I got to the shop to upgrade to a fast track they were sold out! I love Siam park this is the third time I’ve gone but it is totally pointless going without fast track as you are literally queuing all day for a 30 second ride. It’s worth the extra money trust me!
