5. Florence: Walking Tour with Accademia Gallery
Your tour begins with a tour through the Accademia Gallery, where you will discover Michelangelo's most renowned work, “David". You will also discover other important works of art such as "I Prigioni", "San Matteo", and the “Palestrina Pietà".
Following your museum visit, your tour will continue with your discovery of the historic center. You will encounter a range of attractions, including the cathedral with its incredible Brunelleschi Dome, the Baptistery of San Giovanni with the Porta del Paradiso (Gates of Paradise), and the elegant Giotto Bell Tower, which is the loveliest in all of Italy.
You will then soon admire the imposing and singular Orsanmichele Church, a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic art. You will later reach the Mercato della Paglia (Straw Market), and don’t forget to toss a coin into the "Porcellino" fountain to bring yourself good luck.
Continuing on, you can admire the romantic and picturesque Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence. Finally, you will arrive to Piazza Signoria, one of the most beautiful squares in the world and the political center of the city. There you’ll be amazed as you admire the beautiful Fountain of Neptune, as well as the sculptural masterpieces of the Loggia dei Lanzi. Dominating this entire scene is the majestic Palazzo Vecchio with its Arnolfo Tower, which is one of the most famous symbols of Florence.
