What people are saying about Arnarstapi
My guide, 'Frosty', kept us entertained and informed for the entire day. I learnt soo much about Iceland's history and geography and folklore just from this day alone. Can't recommend enough. Loved doing this as a small group too as opposed to the big buses. Pick up / drop off was super clear & great atmosphere and friendliness from all the staff! Sadly the restaurant for delicious fish stew was closed because it was a Sunday in Winter. Also my friend did the same tour just the day after me and seemed to have quite a different experience and saw different things to me so I guess the tour will depend on the weather / who's taking you out but it's all part of the fun & you'll see the main waterfalls & beaches for sure :)
This was a great day spent visiting some of Iceland's most beautiful landscapes. The black beach was a particular highlight, but so were the several unscheduled stops to take in some spectacular views and learn more about Icelandic history. The tour was made all the more special by our guide, Howser, who was engaging, funny and considerate throughout but also hugely knowledgeable about everything from the Icelandic sagas to the structures of the rock formations. High recommended.
Where do I start, the guide Hatla really knows how to engage people , loads of humour, stories , acting/entertainer skills and history... When I come again back to Iceland in a year or two, I will check what other tours are available with this guide. Other than that Kirkjufell and that black lava beach are completely amazing areas to visit...
Program was great, the most beautiful landscape what I have seen in my life!! I have to come back if I can collect money, because time is not enough for one day, but we saw so much beautiful landscape, it worth the cost absolutely!!!We had beautiful weather too...
Our guide Snow (can't remember full name!) was awesome, very knowledgeable and passionate about Iceland. If you only have time for a couple of tours this should definitely be on your list, a lot more to see and do than the Golden Circle.
