Overall rating
Our tour guide, Emanuel, was great. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Some tour guides are quiet but Emanuel had a good sense of humor and shared his knowledge on the road too, which we loved. The Saint Remy market was wonderful. Emanuel gave the choice for people to stay at the market longer or spend less time and visit the convent/hospital. People chose and the group split up later. Going to the convent/hospital where Van Gogh was treated was such a touching experience! Les Baux is beautiful and we had enough time for lunch. We had visited Arles in the past and it was nice coming back. If you like Van Gogh, this is the tour for you!!!
This trip was a great opportunity to see the Camargue. We travelled in an open topped Land Rover over some rough terrain, so not the most comfortable ride, if that's important to you. Our English speaking guide was very informative, we stopped several times so that he could talk about the history of the area, how it was managed and the animals there - the bulls, the horses and the flamingos and we saw all of them.
Excellent tour! One of the very few tours offered for Arles, Avignon and St Remy leaving from Aix. Friendly tour guides, comfortable ride. 100% recommend!
Our guide Flavio was very knowledgeable about the area, it's history and the wildlife. He also spoke very good English which helped.
