You'll discover the lavender fields in full blooming in the valley of Luberon or in the mountains around the village of Sault which is considered as the capital of lavender.
What to Expect
Your driver will stop at the best spots where you can enjoy the view and take pictures from and to the fields.
Depending the day of the week, you'll have time to enjoy a Provençal market at a picturesque village on the way.
Take a photo stop near Gordes to admire the amazing view at this village ranking among the most beautiful villages in France. Drive along picturesque roads through wild lavender fields to Sault or Roussillon (depending on the season).
Visit Roussillon, built on top of an ocher cliff, featuring houses and walls painted using the different colours of the natural pigments contained in the soil. This natural ocher region is the largest in Europe.
Then, visit the Lavender Museum where you'll learn more about lavender. A film will show you the fields, the harvest and the distillation process, before you explore the museum's collection of stills used for the distillation. Stop in the museum's shop with fine cosmetic products elaborated with the pure lavender 100% natural coming from the farm "Le Chateau du Bois".
Between June 15 to July 15, an extra stop for pictures at the Senanque Abbey for its wonderful view with lavander fields is provided.
