What people are saying about Arles
Perfect way of experiencing the landscape and wildlife of the Camargue
Our host Sandy was exceptional. Very friendly, great English speaking and so knowledgable with a fantastic sense of humour. She could answer just about anything about the area. We particularly enjoyed seeing the horses, bulls, flamingoes - we also were provided with binoculars. We could stand up in the jeep and really felt like we were on safari. Also, it was a small group and we were teamed up with a lovely couple from Pennsylvania (who also gave us a great recommendation to visit the Carriere Lumieres at Les Baux - so thank you!). This trip was fabulous and well worth the money. and exceeded our expectations.
Amazing one day trip filled with awe inspiring experiences!
This tour was amazing for giving us a good sense of the history, culture, and architecture of Provence through visits to some of the smaller towns. We appreciated being given time for individual exploration of some of the sites we visited. Our guide was pleasant, helpful, and friendly. We enjoyed the information provided by our guide, and would have liked more information about the area as we were travelling. This day trip is ideal for visitors travelling without their own vehicles. All in all, an awesome day trip well worth the cost.
Provence was a dream and this tour and our guide made it a reality.
Provence has always been on my travel list only because of two things of which I know: Vincent Van Gogh and lavender fields. I got the two but ended up with more - Provencale cuisine, the three ancient olive trees still standing, the history of the people of France, ochre cliffs, white horses and pink flamingos, and a lot more in my memory bank. Oh and everyone must try lavender ice cream. Merci, Emmanuel.
A most interesting and enjoyable experience.
The guide - Jeremy - was helpful in answering questions and giving information. The balance between being 'in transit' and stopping off for about an hour at each of the places of interest on the itinerary was about right. The number of people on the tour - 7 - was about right as well.
Good in terms of seeing the area but don’t expect to see wild horses
The tour was good in terms of seeing the area and the driver was excellent in his information but I was disappointed that there are really no wild horses now, that they all seem to be owned and are just waiting at stables to be ridden. To be honest I found that a bit upsetting.
