What People Are Saying About Arles
An excellent guide explained and took us to all the highlights listed.
I was very pleased with all aspects of the tour and, as my written evaluation indicated, some of it felt too rushed to really have time to take in the experience.

Having our own private guide all day made it a truly great experience.
We had a wonderful day visiting Provence. Our guide was most helpful and extremely courtiuos. We had extra time at all our stops which allowed us to fully enjoy all our destinations. The hill top villages of les Baux, Rousillon and Gordes were fantastic. The vist to the lavender museum was fantastic too. We would recommend this tour to anyone.Well worth paying the extra money.

Provence was a dream and this tour and our guide made it a reality.
Provence has always been on my travel list only because of two things of which I know: Vincent Van Gogh and lavender fields. I got the two but ended up with more - Provencale cuisine, the three ancient olive trees still standing, the history of the people of France, ochre cliffs, white horses and pink flamingos, and a lot more in my memory bank. Oh and everyone must try lavender ice cream. Merci, Emmanuel.

Tour was adequate for the area that we visited.
The review is not more positive because mixing full and half day tours was not optional for the guests. It places more stress on the driver to accommodate both types of tours within a given day and reduces the time at designated sites. For example, we expected more time at the Van Gogh sanitarium, but it was only a 15 photo stop. Also, the driver/guide needs more education and training in the history of the area.
