Experience the thrill of white water rafting on a half-day trip from Arequipa. As you raft down the Chili River you’ll take in spectacular views of the volcanoes. At the end of the tour you’ll have a chance to jump into the river to cool off!
What to Expect
Head to the Chili River for a white water rafting adventure that takes you between the colossal Misti and Chachani volcanoes in Arequipa, in southeastern Peru.
The Chili River flows from the high Andes down to the Chilina Valley and Arequipa city, and finally cuts through the desert between the Uchumayo District and the Pacific Ocean. The river irrigates valleys such as Chilina, Vitor and Chilca, on its way to the ocean.
On this 3.5-hour excursion you’ll be picked up at your hotel in Arequipa, and head to the river. At the rafting base you’ll be set up with a wetsuit and helmet and given safety instructions.
Spend approximately 90 minutes rafting down the river. At the end of the tour, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a swim in the river.
After the tour, you’ll have a small snack before the transfer back to the city of Arequipa.
