Full description

Enjoy early morning pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Arequipa and travel to the incredible Colca Canyon. Arrive at the natural habitat of the giant Andean condor and look forward to a full-day tour of the breathtaking site. Stop for breakfast in the pleasant town of Chivay and travel through the towns of the Andes, before reaching the Mirador Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. Take a short hike up to the viewpoint and experience picturesque views of the surrounding natural landscape. Cross the pass of Patapampa and admire the stunning flora and fauna of the Andes. View the peaks of the Misti, Chachani, Pichu Pichu, and Ampato volcanoes. Return to Arequipa at approximately 5:00 PM and be dropped off in the main square.

Very demanding excursion, starting at 3 am and returning late in the evening. Bus journey of at least 6 hours. The landscapes are splendid but unfortunately the stop at the Mirador dei Condor lasted only 40 minutes. Some other stops should be avoided and more time given to the main stop. The guide was however very clever, with clear and comprehensive explanations both in Spanish and in English. Buffet lunch quite good.

A must know you are on Arequipa

A tiring but essential day if you venture to Arequipa. On the other hand, we strongly advise against the booking via GetYourGuide, the price paid having been triple of other prices practiced for the same activity. I can understand a differential of 10 to 15%, but 200% more expensive, it is not acceptable!

Alles war richtig gemacht, das pick-up, das fahren, das Essen. Colca Canon ist eine sehr spektakulaere Natur und ich kann das nur empfehlen. Ein Sternchen weniger wegen der Uebersetzerin. Sprachlich war Sie nicht ganz vorbereitet.
