Arch of Constantine: Tours & Tickets

We had the most fantastic time on Jan’s tour around Palantine Hill, the Forum and the Colosseum. Jan was so informative, interesting, knowledgable and considerate. It was an extremely hot day and he ensured that we moved from shady spot to shady spot all without compromising the tour. He offered alternatives for those who couldn’t manage the walk/heat and ensured that everyone was ok throughout. His knowledge of Roman history and culture was incredible and he happily answered questions, welcoming discussion throughout the tour. We learnt so much and could clearly see Jan’s genuine passion and enthusiasm for his work. There were multiple stops for filling up water throughout the tour and opportunity for toilet breaks if need be. And no queuing time at all! The tour gave a fantastic over view of Ancient Rome but also provided amazing details of the sights we were seeing and indications of what life in Ancient Rome really would’ve been like. Highly recommend Jan and this tour, 10/10!

Our guide was super knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information and historical facts on the Colosseum, Hill, and Roman Forum. The tour was very enjoyable despite the heat. You can tell the guide did a lot of preparation before taking us on tour. He had pictures printed and everything for each significant site to give us a real view of what it looked like in Ancient Roman times. However, the check-in process was hectic, we arrived at our 8:30am tour 2 minutes before the scheduled time only to find our group had left. We were rescheduled to the 9:30am tour, which we would’ve be happy with except the lady that was helping us had a nasty attitude when I asked why our original group left already before the scheduled start time. She practically told us to take it or leave it and walked away. Not a pleasant customer experience.

While the tour iteslf was excellent the organisation beforehand was abysmal. I could not locate the guide group as they were not easily recognisable. I tried calling the given telephone numbers for help - one was unaavailable and the other was a customer adviser who was very polite and tried to be helpful. Unfortanely she was as mush use as a chocolate fireguard. I asked around and eventually found my tour guide after 45 minutes. The tour started 1 hour after the booked time. The organisers were rude and unhelpful unlike the guide himself who was extremely knowledgeable and very informative. When we did eventually get to the tour it was excellent.

My boyfriend and I were in Rome in August 2019 and opted to do a tour of the Colosseum as we felt we would get more from having a tour guide. The Rome: Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill Fast-Track Tour did not disappoint and our tour guide Mattes very knowledgable and gave a first class tour. He made frequents stops for participants to take pictures and also made sure we kept ourselves hydrated at the various public water fountains along the way. For anyone considering a tour of the Colosseum, this is the one to do.

Colosseum, Forum Romanum og Palatinerhøjen are unbeleaveble exebitions and i would reccomend every one to try it. This guided trip was in general good and especallaly good becasue it lets you skip the que for all three places. In the app it said that the event was hosted by an unknown company which made it quite difficult to know which guided company we were looking for, but we eventaully found it by asking aroud.
