Full description
The Sea of Cortez is a huge and beautiful body of water and offers many wonderful adventures for the adventurous. Today, you can experience the best of the "Arch" from a glass bottom kayak! The Arch is a geologic landmark where the Pacific Ocean joins with the golden green waters of the Cortez Sea. As you kayak around, you'll have the chance to experience a wide range of marine life that calls this home. From great birds living above the arch, to the seemingly endless variety of multicolored fish below, you'll be amazed at all the life that is teeming here. You'll even have a chance to go past a sea lion's colony. See if you can get them to talk! After kayaking around, you may be able take a scenic walk along Lover's Beach, if the port captain permits (sometimes high swell makes it unsafe), and cross to the other side to discover why they call it Divorce Beach! If the conditions are right, you'll even have a chance to snorkel around Neptune's Finger or Pelican's Rock. These are an interesting area of hard and soft corals, sea fans, sponges and plenty and plenty of fish, tuna, shark, manta ray and turtles!

The guides were great and very helpful, but beach was crowded

The two guides were extremely helpful in getting everything setup and making sure everyone had a great time. The beach by the arch was very busy with a lot of big and small boat traffic, but they waited until the opportune moment for us to go snorkel which was definitely the highlight over the kayaking (which felt more like exercise than enjoyment!). One thing to keep in mind is that there's a good amount of kayaking in the ocean involved, so make sure you are at least somewhat physically fit.

Great activity for couples.

My husband and I decided to book a Kayak and Snorkel tour as a way to view the beautiful coastline, while also being able to snorkel at the same time. The views were amazing, and the kayaking was a bit of a workout, but nothing too strenuous as long as you are in decent shape. Our tour guides were very friendly and helpful. We booked our trip in the morning, so there was only 1 other couple with us and the ocean was quite calm at this time. This gave us great opportunities for photos both on the beach and our guides also took some of us with our cameras as we were kayaking. The stop at Lover's Beach was really beautiful and not very crowded (because it was early in the morning) so we decided to take a stroll along the beach and take a lot of great photos. The snorkeling was a great experience as well, and just the right amount of time was allocated to it. Overall this was a great way to spend 3 hours! Highly recommended for couples and those who enjoy the outdoors.

Great experience! It was a bit tough for my 12 year old, she got tired about half way through, but it was so beautiful. There were sealions near the Arch and our guide took pictures along the way. Snorkeling was abundant during our trip. I highly recommend.
