It started with an on time pickup at our timeshare at 6:30 A.M. in a Mercedes. After a 2 hour drive we arrived at the lodge, which was magnificent, for a fabulous huge buffet. We boarded an open truck with a canopy cover and drove onto the reserve. Within several minutes we came upon several hippos sunning them selves near a body of water. Soon, the driver pulled up next to a pride of lions, 2 males and 3 females, We stopped on the average 5 to 10 feet from the animals as the driver explained their habitat and many interesting comments about them, The driver was terrific. During the 2 and 1/2 hour safari, as we observed the following close up, a rhino mother with a baby along side, zebras, wilderbeast. springbok, giraffes. elephants as we drove along. Ostrich as they were feeding. The driver stopped frequently so we could observe the animals. It was thrilling. ! A Great experience that we will never forget. Highly recommended.
First of all- the people who work there are awesome, very nice, funny and talk very good/ clear and slow English for people who cant understand it so good. I liked the fact that they leave the animals alone as they are want to live. (Like not feeding them to get them to the truck of stuff like that) The tour guide we had was awsome. He made really good jokes and told us a lot about the animals. I would always recommend you guys
Although we had a good guide the overall experience was just about average in relation to the price being charged.
