This is a very hard trek, be aware. Pack as light as possible so you don’t have to carry a heavy backpack, but also make sure you bring warm clothes, because it is very cold at night. We had a lovely guide that let us walk in the pace we needed, and always motivated us forward. The sleeping arrangements could have been better, as the sleeping bags were old and had holes in them, but the base camp had a perfect view of the volcano.

The sleeping situation wasn’t the greatest, but hey, that’s camping in a group for you. Go in with realistic expectations. The Fuego hike is cool, but extremely difficult and it will cause you to miss a lot of eruptions. If I did it again I’d consider just staying at the camp before going to the summit on day 2

Unmissable experience in Guatemala. I’d recommend booking this with an agent once in Antigua, will be way cheaper, 300 GTQ. The tents are smelly and you will be cold, be prepared.

A great tour. Very demanding, but the view is worth it. Friendly guides, good food, very basic sleeping arrangements. Top value for money.

The guides really watched over the group and assisted in any way possible
