What an unforgettable experience! Stunning! Nevertheless perpare yourself mentally well because the ascent is steep and exhausting as hell. Bring magnesium and electrolytes. (I grew up in the Austrian mountains and this was by far the most challenging hike in my life…)

Full description

Watch the sunset and the sunrise from Acatenango volcano and several eruptions, mainly at night you can see lava. Then get an overnight in our Form-A cabain (Alpine) on the base camp located just in front of the Fuego volcano, facing it over an elevation of 3,700 meters above sea level.
Very tough hiking but it worth in the end, this is unique experience and no mach words to describe that is beutiful.

Hard but doable hike - the guides were fantastic - stayed back with us slower folks and encouraged as all the way up. Food and transportation was good - bring warm layers!
