What people are saying about Annecy
It’s only a half day visit and that was just enough time to walk the historic old town, visit inside the castle (history of transportation and tourism on the lake, free classical concert by a very good trio of violin, cello, and piano, and view of Annecy city below). Tour guide gave a good overview of on the area on the 45 min drive to town with brief walk about to the castle entrance. There was also a flea market throughout the town on this Saturday. Annecy is called the little Venice of the Alps because of the lake and canals. Another very nice European ABC triplet sampling of “Another Bloody (Canal, Church, Castle)”. Well worth a couple hours of your time with Key Tours.
Great experience as a single traveler. Bus ride to Annecy from Geneva was about 45 minutes, tour guide was informative. We had about 2.5 hours of free time in Annecy. Some of the other reviews commented on not all the restaurants being open and while this is somewhat true, there were definitely many places to get food if you wanted. Overall I found this tour to be a great value for the price and would recommend it!
Girl, tour guide was lovely. Chatty. I would not say it's half day tour as getting there takes longer than staying there to have lunch or just walk around. To much for such short time. If I knew I would take a train instead. Nice place. Weather was perfect.
tour guide was SUPER sweet but half day isn't enough to enjoy Annecy! go on your own time, even an overnight stay there would be perfect. View was unreal, looked like a post card.
afternoon with no guide. felt like a simple bus ride to the area. the town is nice though... relaxed atmosphere and a mix of open spaces and narrow authentic streets.
