Full description
Experience the peace and quiet of Siem Reap on a full-day tour that starts with an early morning drive up the hills overlooking Tonle Sap. Here, you will meet the monks of a Buddhist temple for a short introduction to the meditation process, and the rituals of blessing.

Feel the tranquility of the dawn before sunrise, and watch the monks in full meditation. Your guide will take care of all necessary arrangements, such as making donations and giving alms.

After you’ve watched the sunrise, take time out to sit on a hill overlooking Tonle Sap lake and re-energize with a complimentary breakfast box before your descent to visit Chong Kneas, a typical floating fishing village of the region.

For many, a highlight of the morning will be a 15-minute ride by ox-cart to experience a more traditional form of transportation in Cambodia. Then, return to your hotel for lunch and to freshen up for the afternoon.

Set off again at about 14:30. The afternoon section of your tour takes you to the main highlights of the Angkor Wat temple complex. Explore the Hindu temple, dedicated to Vishnu, which began construction in the 12th century under King Suryavarman II and took 37 years to complete.
